BRUNO CASETTA
Contemporary Oil Painting
Bruno Casetta lives and works in Torino, Italy. His passion for art starts in Paris, at the Jeu de Paume, and has been influenced by the Post-impressionists, the Fauves and his friends Ugo Nespolo and Salvo.
The study of movement and the language of colour lead him to his very personal figurative painting of long whirling brushstrokes.
Casetta’s leitmotif is “metapainting”, depicting an urgency to make emotion and vital energy into painted reality through infinite colour combinations.
His painting is as light-sensitive as a camera, he seems to understand that a picture is as ephemeral as a photo.
